November 6th was the first home game for the Redbirds. They played the Division two team, Quincy University. Going into this game I was really hoping that Quincy would get blown out since they are a D2 team and ISU is D1. Well that is exactly what happened. The Hawks hung with the Redbirds for about half the first quarter. Then the dominating began. Jackie Carmichael of the Redbirds had an amazing three point play alley oop. That play was all the momentum and energy that the Birds needed. John Ekey led the Birds with 16 points in the routing of Quincy. The final score was 102-63.
